Chiropractor
Raised in Kanata, Dr. Goguen completed honors courses at Queen’s University, Kingston, and the University of Adelaide in South Australia. She graduated from Queens with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Kinesiology. She then completed the Doctor of Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
During her intern year, her focus included chronic pain management, social determinants of health, and rehabilitation therapies. She was then selected for mission work in the Dominican Republic under the FUSNI foundation/World Spine Care.
Dr. Goguen chose to join the field of Chiropractic in hopes to combine her love of sports and fitness with her passion for health care. Through the Kinesiology Program at Queen’s, and through volunteering at the Kingston General Hospital, she became certain that she had the personality and passion to become a health care provider. As she had previously been a member of the Ottawa Gymnastics Centre, trained in Powerlifting, and danced with the Dance ConneXion School of Toronto, her goal was to combine the two passions through pursuing a career in Chiropractic.
Dr. Goguen applies diversified techniques including Chiropractic mobilizations and manipulations, soft tissue therapies, and rehabilitation exercise. She then amalgamates her sports background through educating her patients on rehabilitation therapies with emphasis on form and technique. She aims to involve her patients in their recovery through exercise to achieve her primary goal of instilling confidence so that patients can regain function and return to doing the things they love.
Alongside her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, Dr. Goguen has completed her Contemporary Medical Acupuncture at McMaster University. She is also certified to provide Dr. Ammendolia’s Boot Camp Program for Lumbar Spinal Stenosis.
